I am calling on Discord Inc. to fix their broken moderation and ban system.

I was permanently banned after reporting disturbing, potentially illegal content I received in my DMs. Instead of protecting me, Discord punished me — banning my account and globally blocking my phone number. I was doing the right thing, following their safety rules.

Sadly, I’m not alone. Many users have shared similar stories — punished for reporting child safety violations, hate speech, spam, or harassment. Discord uses AI and bots to moderate, and it’s making critical mistakes. Innocent users are getting banned while harmful content still spreads.

We demand:
✅ Proper human review for bans related to safety reports
✅ A working appeal process that isn’t just automated messages
✅ The ability to reclaim our accounts and data

Reporting abuse shouldn't get you punished. It should make the platform safer.
