Honorable Judge Stan Whitaker, 

By a jury of their peers, Stephen Goldman Jr., Jimmy Atkins and Julio Almentero were found guilty of murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery of Collin Romero and Ahmed Lateef. We are requesting that you sentence these individuals to the harshest penalties allowed by the State of New Mexico.  All guilty charges should serve consecutively without the possibility of parole. We believe the violent and torturous nature of these crimes against these children should provide only penalty that will send the proper message to other gang members and their families, that NM will not tolerate this type of criminal activities towards the citizens in our beautiful state. These three men showed no remorse for their actions and were only upset because they got caught.
