The next scheduled hearing date for Coco's murder is August 11th at 9am. The attorney requested a continuance due to "ongoing discovery".
We plan to have another protest at 8:30am on August 11th. It will be at The Justice Center in downtown Cleveland (1200 Ontario).

After speaking with numerous attorneys, the best thing we can do at the moment is keep this story in the public eye. The more people that show up for the protest, the more news outlets will want to cover it. This will ruin any attempt by the defense attorney to keep his client out of the public eye, and it will also let the judge know the public is counting on him to hand down a harsh sentence. So, if you live in the area PLEASE come to the protest. If you don't live in the area, please keep sharing Coco's story with anyone who will listen.
I believe Channel 19 news will be there, as well as Dawn Kendrick.

Dawn Kendrick from The Good Stuff also came and live streamed our last protest! (Thank you, Dawn!!) She is a journalist that chooses to see the positive things that come out of negative situations. She provides a refreshing take on the normally depressing news cycle, and we really appreciate her for recognizing and amplifying our efforts to be Coco's voice!

Dawn plans to live stream the next protest as well, so make sure you follow her Facebook page to catch the coverage!
I know it's easy to get frustrated and angry with, not only the fact that Coco's life was unfairly taken, but also with the lack of urgency in the justice system.
Phil's attorney is going to try and drag this out as long as possible with the hope the public will forget. He's counting on us to grow tired of waiting and to move on, but that's exactly why we can't. We need to stay involved and active to let him know his normal tactics won't work for this case. We won't simply forget, and we won't fight for anything less than the maximum penalty.
Coco will never forget those hours spent in the freezer. Coco will never forget the evil she saw humans to be capable of on that last day of her life. Since Coco won't forget, we won't forget. She is counting on us to stay involved to prevent this from happening to another animal at the hands of her killer.
So, please help by either attending the protest or sharing the info to help get the word out to those that are able to attend.
As always, thank you for everything you do to be Coco's voice.
