Justice for Christine Englehardt

The Issue

Disturbing content warning, mentions of: drugging, violence, sexual violence, and death.

On March 18th, Christine Englehardt was drugged, robbed, raped, and murdered by Evoire Collier and Dorian Taylor. Collier and Taylor were seen partying on Miami Beach again within hours.

On March 20th, Walter Riley, a 21-year-old from Chicago, was found unconscious and later died from the same fentanyl supplied by Taylor.

On March 21st, Collier and Taylor were arrested. Taylor was arrested after using Christine's credit card at a liquor store. On Taylor, police discovered Christine's cellphone and the green pills. The pills, which contained lethal levels of fentanyl, were confirmed to be consistent with the drug that killed Christine.

Christine's autopsy report revealed that her death was caused in part by a fatal dose of fentanyl. She was found face down on the bed as a result of chemical impairment and or physical restraint, so positional asphyxia may be another contributing cause.

Collier and Taylor were charged with sexual battery, burglary, credit card fraud and petit theft.

As of August, murder charges have been filed, a grand jury has brought forward two counts of first-degree murder against Dorian Taylor and one count of first-degree murder against Evoire Collier.

Prosecutors are now seeking the death penalty for both defendants.

Both suspects have pled NOT GUILTY. Their attorneys filed a motion to SUPPRESS the state's evidence against the defendants and the confession that one defendant previously gave.

We have all seen far too many cases where time goes by and the end result is an injustice to loved ones left behind. If justice is going to be served for all, it starts now. These violent and heinous acts cannot be diminished in severity. This is why we will use our voices to fight for Christine who needs and deserves justice to be served to the fullest extent of the law.

The Mission of Justice for Christine

We all need to use our voices to ensure that the perpetrators of these crimes are held accountable for all of their actions that hurt so many and stole an innocent soul from the world.

We know how so many cases are not prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

We are demanding this amount of change on behalf of all the people whose lives have been destroyed by the horror the perpetrators committed.

Let us remember who Christine was and all she gave to the world.

She deserves true justice.

In Loving Memory of Christine Englehardt

As well as so many other people, our hearts and thoughts go out to the family and friends of Christine Englehardt. The loss of her life could not have been anticipated, but the essence of her spirit will endure through all of her loved ones. We hope that using our voices to fight for Christine's justice will help give her family and friends time to grieve in this unimaginably difficult time.

An excerpt from Christine's obituary:

"Christine's life was stolen from her too soon, by tragedy. She was full of life and ambition. She lit up a room with her vibrant energy; her laugh was contagious, just like her huge heart. She cared for people and would go out of her way to help anyone. She was full of positive energy and was loved by all that came in contact with her. ...  Above all, Christine was an amazing woman. She touched the hearts of each person in her life and would be the first person to drop everything to help others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by everyone in her life."

A vigil was held in her memory in Miami Beach on Friday, March 26th. Another vigil was held on Monday, March 29th in Newtown, PA, outside of Christine's former workplace.

On Tuesday, March 30th in Richboro, PA, a Celebration of Life was held at St. Vincent de Paul Church followed by a Funeral Mass. Christine's burial followed at Union Cemetery. All of her friends and family were dressed in casual clothing, as it is what Christine would have wanted.

Samantha DiFrancesco was a close friend to Christine, she is organizing the GoFundMe fundraiser to help her family pay for her funeral expenses. DiFrancesco said, “She had one of those laughs that could light up an entire room, she’s the last person you’d ever expect anything like this to happen to.”

Ave' Amoroso was also close friends with Christine, she said, "Christine was one of my best friends in college, we have all been suffering with grief over this loss. She was one of the most selfless people I ever met and did not deserve this. Please help bring her justice."

If you can, please donate to the GoFundMe for Christine’s Funeral Expenses. Though the previous GoFundMe goal was reached, with the additional support, Christine’s family intends to travel from Pennsylvania to Florida for every court appearance. Even if you do not have the financial ability to now, sharing will help very much as well.

If you wish to learn more about the life of Christine Englehardt, give your condolences to her family and friends, share your memories of her, or donate a flower arrangement to her family, you may visit her obituary.
