Austin community and friends, my name is Patricia Rodriguez. My sister Christina Michelle Limon (39)  and Nephew Rudy Xavier Limon Lira (14) were murdered on 4/22/22 in Austin, TX. They were in good spirits after coming home from Xavier’s dental appt and getting dinner.

The ring camera captures Christina Michelle Limon holding food in her hands while unlocking the door and Rudy Xavier Limon Lira is holding two drinks in each hand. As they walked into the house, Michelle asked David why he was sitting in the dark. Within seconds he opened fire on both of them. Michelle and Xavier were helpless as he ambushed them. Their screams of terror will haunt us forever. David proceeded to yell out comments to them while he opened fire on both of them.

After assassinating Michelle and Xavier, David proceed to exit the home locking the door behind him. He left the property, came back and called his family before calling 911. David Ontiveros planned to executed Xavier and Michelle. They had no chance to defend themselves and he left them there to die.

Michelle died at a nearby trauma center while Xavier died on the scene of the crime. I can not express the pain my family is going through right now. My niece lost her mom and brother and I’m trying to raise awareness for Justice as gun and domestic violence cases increase.

We need to make a stand and over turn his $1M bond for 2 counts of premeditated capital murder!! Justice needs to be served.

“We have a responsibility to do all we can to protect innocent children, and I am proud to sign Senate Bill 719 into law to do just that," Texas Gov. Abbott said.””

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed Lauren's Law, named after a murdered Wichita Falls teen, in Austin, TX.

State Sen. Pat Fallon, R-Prosper, authored the legislation, Senate Bill 719.

“As (g)overnor, I am committed to seeking justice on behalf of all Texans and ensuring that perpetrators of heinous crimes are punished to the fullest extent of the law," Abbott said in a statement.

The new law ratchets up that age to younger than 15, giving prosecutors the option to seek life in prison without the possibility of parole in the death of a child 10 or older but younger than 15.

Fallon, R-Prosper, authored Senate Bill 719, also known as Lauren's Law.

“A premediated murderer of a child, you should never see the light of day again in my humble opinion,” Fallon said in a recent interview. -USAToday
