The Issue

On September 8, 2025, the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found decomposing in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the singer D4vd. Her body had been left in the car for weeks, according to Los Angeles police. It was only discovered after a foul odor was reported at a Hollywood impound lot.

Celeste was a missing girl. She was a daughter, a loved one. She was only 15 years old.

Her remains were found the day after what should have been her birthday.

And yet, weeks later, there are still no answers.

The Los Angeles Police Department says it cannot confirm the cause of death, or whether a crime occurred beyond the concealment of her body. But how does a missing child end up decomposing in the trunk of a car for weeks—with no one held publicly accountable?

Her family, and the public, deserve more than silence.

We demand:

  • A complete and transparent investigation into Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death
  • Public updates on the status of the investigation, including lab results and cause of death
  • A full accounting of how long the car was left unattended, and how Celeste’s body was missed for so long
  • Any and all appropriate criminal charges for those involved in her death or the concealment of her remains

This case cannot be quietly closed or left in limbo. Celeste mattered. And there must be consequences when a young girl is found discarded and forgotten like this.
