#JUSTICEFORBAYLEE MY COCKER SPANIEL BAYLEE was picked up  in #MICHIGAN by SAGINAW COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL ON JUNE 17th at around 4:15 pm, SHE WAS A HAPPY WELL LOVED and FRIENDLY DOG who was elderly (11 years old) Blind and had a tumor, THE Director of the the SCAC made a decision immediately when she arrived to the Gratiot #MichiganFacilityEuthanizeBaylee.    When I found out she was at the Saginaw County Animal Shelter I went there immediately on Thursday morning 9:00 AM, the Director told me I could not pick her up because they put her down when she cam in around 5pm on Wednesday. I asked why and she said she was Old, blind and had a tumor and she was legally allowed to based on her being in pain.  I explained she was not in pain and was a family dog, and she repeated the same reason, I explained none of those issues reflect pain and she referenced a vet who I asked information on and she said if I want any information on this case to call and ask for a FOIA request form, she did not have to give me anything.  I called back and asked for my dogs body and she said she disposed of it the night before.  The #Saginaw County Animal Control was fined a year ago for this issue and others, and it is still occurring.  The SCAC is operating with out any Vet Tech on staff and the director is breaking the law.   Sign this and show support , tell these leaders animals are important and so is the laws and SCAC continues to break them without any oversight or penalties that encourage compliance.  Support a call for removing the ability of the SCAC to Euthanize any animal with out a court order for violent aggression.  The Saginaw County Animal Control has proven they are irresponsible, and have no intention of following the laws of this state or county.  They must become a No Kill shelter to stay in existance and receive Tax Payer founding and approved licensing by the Michigan Department of Agriculture
