Our community has been impacted with a series of hit and runs in which innocents are being murdered while the criminals are getting off on bond. Especially with criminals who have a series of criminal history. I write today to be the voice of Arthur Montemayor who can no longer speak for himself and the many others in his situation who have been effected. Arthur life was innocently taken away by a guy who was purchasing alcohol at a convenient store. The guy hop in his car and carelessly killed Arthur Montemayor. Arthur leaves behind a loving family and his life was taken away too soon. Meanwhile the guy is out on bond and nothing has been done for justice or to protect the community of Houston, Tx. Our laws need to change to protect others from getting injured and justice be served to those who are no longer here with us.
