We, the undersigned, express our profound grief and concern over the tragic and preventable death of Amari Boone, a three-year-old child who suffered severe child abuse while under the care of Child Protective Services (CPS). On April 10, 2020, Amari was admitted to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, where he became one of three children who lost their lives that week due to severe child abuse.

The details of Amari's case are harrowing. He was admitted to the hospital with seizures, a fatal head injury, both arms, three fingers, and his pelvis broken. Ongoing child abuse manifested in bruises throughout his body. Shockingly, prior to Amari's tragic death, his parents had reported to caseworkers about bruising on Amari and their suspicions that he was being abused in his foster home. Regrettably, CPS failed to remove Amari from the dangerous environment, contributing to the devastating outcome.

Amari Boone deserved a life filled with love, protection, and the simple joys of childhood. Instead, his young life was marked by unspeakable violence and neglect. He did not deserve the pain inflicted upon him, the severe injuries sustained, or the fatal consequences that followed.

We demand justice for Amari Boone. Despite the gravity of the case, there have been no arrests made. This is unacceptable, and we refuse to let Amari's memory fade without accountability.

The requested actions from this petition are as follows:

A comprehensive overview of Amari's case to be submitted to the appropriate review boards, ensuring a thorough and proper investigation.
Subpoena CPS in the state of Texas for documentation from the last fiscal year detailing the number of cases they were involved in that ended in death.
Urgent implementation of laws by the Governor of Texas, and eventually all other states, that act as safeguards for children during government shutdowns, preventing cases like Amari's from falling through the cracks.
