It really helps Alfie to know you are all on his side.  We are so grateful for your support and will do our very best to turn your support into a result.

We wrote to the director of education last Thursday, drawing their attention to the issue and the petition.  Jayne Bryant, Alfie's Senedd (Welsh Government) member and Ruth Jones, Alfie's Member of Parliament  have also both written.  So far, no response.

You may have seen Alfie in the media (links in the updates to the petition if you're curious), pointing out, among other issues, that Alfie was the only one of nearly 300 in catchment children not to get a place.  The Newport City Council Local Education Authority respond each time saying that they actually turned down 93 applications.  This is really misleading.  They neglect to mention that 92 out of the 93 were out of catchment applications.
