Alexee Trevizo, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is suspected of killing her newborn child. According to reports from the Albuquerque Police Department, Trevizo gave birth in a bathroom and then left the baby in a trash can. The infant was found dead by authorities.

This heinous act cannot go unpunished. We demand that Alexee Trevizo be held accountable for her actions and brought to justice.

New Mexico has one of the highest rates of child abuse and neglect in the country. In 2019 alone, there were over 17,000 cases reported to the state's Child Abuse Hotline. It is time for our community to take a stand against these atrocities.

We call on District Attorney Raul Torrez to prosecute Alexee Trevizo to the fullest extent of the law. We also urge our elected officials to prioritize funding for programs that support families and prevent child abuse.

No child should ever have their life taken away by their own parent. Let us come together as a community and demand justice for this innocent life lost at the hands of its mother.
