We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with the family of Aditya Prabhu and the students of Bengaluru, who are demanding justice for the tragic loss of a young life due to harassment and bullying by university officials.

Aditya Prabhu, a 19-year-old student of PES University, woke up that fateful day looking forward to giving his last end-semester exam, after which he was looking forward to attending a friend's birthday party, and spending his semester break watching movies on his new TV and visiting his grandmother. He was a bright student with 8.5 GPA and always had a cheerful disposition about life.

Aditya took his own life following a distressing incident during his last end-semester exam. He was found with a mobile phone near him during the exam, which led to his harassment by university officials. After getting interrogated, Aditya, a boy who was always full of life and cheerful, was reduced to the lowest point of his life mentally. The university officials left him alone with his own thoughts completely unsupervised, and Aditya, not being able to bear the shame and embarrassment that the university officials had subjected him to, jumped off a university building and took his own life.

Shockingly, even Aditya's mother, Mrs. Asha Prabhu, who visited the university after getting calls from her son and a university official, faced mistreatment, with a university official referring to her as "Malpractice Mother"

We believe that such incidents of harassment and mistreatment in educational institutions must not be ignored. Every student deserves a safe and supportive learning environment, free from any form of intimidation or abuse.

Therefore, we, the undersigned, hereby sign this petition for the following:

(1) Naming and Suspension: We demand PES University to publicly NAME and SUSPEND all officials involved in the incident leading to Aditya's untimely demise.

(2) Ministry Investigation: We request the Education Ministry of Karnataka and the Education Minister of Karnataka Dr. MC Sudhakar to establish an impartial committee to thoroughly investigate PES University's role in Aditya's tragedy and to look into other instances of alleged malpractice by university officials against students.

(3) Mental Health Protection for Students: We appeal to the UGC and other education authorities to implement policy-level changes that prioritize students' mental well-being during stressful situations. This includes establishing support systems and counseling services to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

Aditya's family deserves justice, and we must ensure that no other student faces such a devastating fate due to negligence and mistreatment by educational institutions. Let's come together to demand accountability, change, and a safer environment for all students.

Sign this petition to support Aditya Prabhu's family and the students of Bengaluru in their pursuit of justice and to ensure a brighter, safer future for students everywhere.
