Nearly two years after the fall of Kabul, one of the longest tenured NMRG members and his family have finally made it home!

Leyaqat was one of the original members of Team 11-- back when our scope and ambitions were a fraction of what they are now: his family is the 4th of the original 17 to make it state-side.

Since we transitioned into the 1208 Foundation last fall and made this a full-time enterprise, we have brought 14 families state-side, totaling 71 people overall.

Every family brought to the US is a success worthy of celebration. However, cherished though this success may be, we have over 800 more people bogged down in the SIV pipeline. With the two year anniversary of the collapse looming, we all need to remember how much further we have to to, and how urgent the need for SIV reform is.
