Following the seventh cancellation of the scheduled meeting on April 2, 2026, the 1158 Assistant Professor and Librarian Front, Punjab has announced that it will protest during the Chief Minister’s rally near Patiala on April 6.

The meeting was postponed despite candidates travelling long distances, including individuals with physical disabilities, after repeated assurances from the administration that dialogue would take place. These continued last-minute cancellations have further deepened concerns and frustration among the affected educators. The Front has stated that such repeated delays have compelled them to intensify their agitation and prepare for wider, state-level actions to ensure their demands are heard.
