On day 111th of my 4th Hunger Strike outside the UNHCR office in Athens, Greece, I left my shelter again to reach the European Commission’s Representation in Greece not only concerning my latest email to them on November 03rd, 2022, but also to demand answers for this ongoing Hostage taking and my complete deprivation in this country. 

Having arrived there, shortly after setting up my Banner in front of their office, I went to the door in order to reach the reception and inform them not only about my presence there, but also about my request for speaking urgently with the Head of Delegation there, Niobe Rigou.

Although they didn't open the door, but I was able to inform several people through the door bell. However, eventually nobody from their office came out to speak to me, nor anybody came to take my information perhaps for looking into the issues afterwards which I personally brought to their attention again.

Police have shortly arrived to the scene. A dozen of them. At first they tried to intimidate me, but then they let me be, until a Patrol Police Car arrived and they took me away.

They took me to the district Police Station. In this Case Syndamga Police Station. They held me in Custody there for many hours on no grounds. Moreover, since they didn’t want to let me go after those many hours of illegal detention, later they also escalated the matter ever further by deciding on taking me to the Court as well with the ultimate aim of putting me in prison too.

Hence, they kept me in Police Custody for the two consecutive days afterwards on Friday and Saturday as well and was taken to the Court twice on both days.

The Court on Friday was postponed because I asked for a lawyer from the Court. However, the alleged lawyer who was assigned to my Case did not show up on Saturday, which is why Court got postponed again. The Court also ordered for my release from Police Custody and told me to file an application for a legal aid at the Court on Monday on my own.

Despite the order for my release, the Police wouldn’t let me go after the Court's decision. They took me back to the Police Station in Handcuffs and kept me in detention there until after 20:00 O’clock later that day. In fact, they were pushing for my detention in their Police Station until the day of the Court on December 08th, 2022. They were citing lack official documents for my release. Because allegedly the Police officer who had taken the document from the Court didn’t pass it on to the Police Station, hence they kept me there until the said Police officer sent the Document to them, which took him about 5 hours to do so.

The conditions in the basement of the Police station are beyond horrible. That’s where they keep detainees. There were no toilet, no bathroom, no light, and all the windows open with temperature dropping below zero at midnight. I already got seriously sick being detained there for three days. I could not have imagined how I would survive being detained there for more days. Even for peeing, you have got to call the Police a dozen of times and probably wait for hours before a Policeman comes downstairs to open three to four locked doors only so you could reach a horribly dirty toilet with no toilet paper and no water in it. In the other words, the conditions they have deliberately set up there are torturous.

Thankfully, I didn't have to stay there more and eventually I was released later at night on Saturday.

Although I didn't waste any time on Monday to return to the Court and submit an application for legal aid, which I eventually did, but the Court has already rejected it in a two-page document (757/28-11-2022) it sent to me via email on Tuesday.

Also, knowing that none of the so-called Humanitarian and Human Rights NGOs would provide me with a lawyer or any sort of a legal assistance, the chances of ending up in Jail on December 08th, 2022, are highly likely.

All that aside, I also continue to remain in urgent need of Humanitarian assistance for my survival. Currently, I have absolutely no money.
