Outcome of my Pleadings with Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF) and Center for Philanthropy (CpF) Slovakia for Emergency Funding.

The number of days of my 3rd #HungerStrike on my Placard outside the #UNHCR office in Athens, Greece now reads 238 days. Yet so far no effort has been made by this UN Agency to find a resolution to this ongoing atrocity in Greece, even when it’s their mandate to do so.

Similarly, despite struggling with an existential threat and being in utter distress on a daily basis while my Fundamental Rights continues to be grossly violated in this country, yet, I have also not seen the slightest form of support from any of those so-call Humanitarian organizations operating in Greece even when they continue receiving emails from me asking for assistance.

This had been their common practice for all these years of this ongoing Hostage taking and my complete deprivation here in Greece. As if I am not human at all and have no rights to live.

Painfully, my efforts in acquiring help from abroad also had not yet yielded any significant result that would help bring an end this ongoing Hostage taking or help improve my dire situation in the slightest for that matter.

Two of those foreign organizations that have recently replied to my requests for assistance are the Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF) and Center for Philanthropy (CpF) Slovakia.

The Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF)’s reply which came with months of delay and only after receiving three follow-up emails on my original inquiry which was sent on Monday, February 14th, 2022, wrote on Friday, May 06th, 2022, “We are sorry to hear about your situation. The Norwegian Human Rights Fund is not an urgent response organization; hence, we cannot provide any immediate help in such a case.” and suggested that I get in contact with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) instead. Both of which have been getting emails from me for years, yet to this date none of them have offered any sort of assistance.

Having clarified this in my reply to the Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF) which was sent last Friday; I also copied both the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) so they would once again be alerted of this ongoing situation and requested that the Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF) reconsider its response upon this clarification accordingly. But whether or not they offer any help, especially in financial terms, remains to be seen.

As for the response from Center for Philanthropy (CpF) Slovakia which came in nearly three weeks after my initial contact with them, they wrote “I am very sorry, but our organization does not have its own resources that it can use for such purposes on an ongoing basis.” And furthermore by linking its response to the current Humanitarian situation in Ukraine while seemingly ignoring this utterly inhumane situation which I have been deliberately put in for so many years, continued “In the current social situation taking place in our close neighborhood – the war in Ukraine, we are trying to give all our help to cooperating in resolving the difficult situation of people fleeing the war from Ukraine.” and hence declined to offer any help, financial or otherwise, in resolving my dire situation in Greece.

Those aside, currently what has put me in even more bottleneck is that for an unknown reason the micro-Donations that I have been receiving through my Fundraising Campaign have also come to a complete halt since over one month ago, which seems to be very suspicious.

Accordingly, I have been without cash again now for nearly two weeks and the only thing that has helped me out with my survival during this period was a few other coupons, each 10 Euros worth, Donated by the Greek Forum for Refugees (GFR) on two separate occasions after repeated requests from my end. The organization, however, does not seem to be willing to offer any support with raising Donations through my Fundraising Campaign nor to provide assistance with raising signatures for my online Petition or even with raising awareness of this ongoing atrocity in Greece.

Due to these continued financial restraints I have also been unable to take a shower and clean up my clothes in more than a month. In fact, since the start of my current Hunger Strike on September 14th, 2021, I have only managed to do that twice.

For the same reason, I have also been without Internet for nearly three months. I will also  run out of Multivitamins in the coming days and currently I have absolutely no cash on me even to get myself safe drinking water.

All those together have created the perfect conditions for my demise and put my life, my safety and wellbeing at serious risk.

Even though I set foot in this  continent in 2014, but even to date, not only I have not found any sort of Protection or Asylum here, but they even sabotage all my efforts in finding Protection elsewhere and having drained all my resources are now seeking to starve me to death and cover it up and shamelessly call this humanity.

That’s the reward for those who seek to find Protection through the so-called legal channels.
