Submitting the Transcript and the Audio Records of my Conversation With the Police to the Greek Ombudsman Related to the Destruction of my Banner.
Dear the Greek Ombudsman;
I am writing concerning your final letter (No. 310192/16549) in relation to my complaint that was submitted to you via email on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021, regarding the destruction of my Banner outside the UNHCR office that occurred several days earlier on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021.
Your letter claims that on the day of the incident, the officer on duty at the Ambelokipi Police Station after explaining my rights under the Greek Law (which never happened), had asked me to return back to their police station along with an interpreter of my choice and confidence within three months of the timing of the incident in order to file my complaint with them (which never happened). Because, according to your letter, I didn’t accept an interpreter appointed by the Police. (which again never happened).
Furthermore, the Greek Ombudsman then by citing my failure in returning back to the Ambelokipi Police Station along with an interpreter during the time frame which was specified for me by the Police officer, draws its conclusion and moves to declare the case closed.
However, because of the false information provided to you by the Greek Police and in order to prove that this was not what had happened at the Ambelokipi Police Station on the evening of Thursday, December 23rd, 2021, I am hereby sharing the entire transcript and the whole audio record of my conversation with the said Police officer in order to be added to my complaint and be included in your investigation.

I would however like to point out, after nearly 10 minutes of completely unpleasant conversation with the said Police officer who even falsely claimed on two separate occasions that he received my complaint, at the end he told me "We will find the woman and contact you”. It was then that I left the Police Station, hoping I will be contacted by them soon, not the other way around. The Greek Ombudsman’s letter clearly indicates that they lied; something which I correctly suspected would happen, hence also the reason for submitting my complaint to you in the first place.
This is a cause for serious concern also in relation to my other complaints involving the Police. To name one, I could refer you to the incident that occurred at the Syntagma Police Station on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, where I had unjustly suffered a series of physical assaults at the hands of the Greek Police after they had caused extensive damages to my Phones there before I was finally being released from their custody. Because they have also unlawfully gained access to my Phone and wiped everything from it, including all the evidence that could have been used in defense of my complaint addressed to you on that particular incident. Moreover, regarding to the complaint in question here, it is also very arguable as to why the Greek Ombudsman withhold its letter until exactly 3 months had passed from the time of the incident, which, according to you is the acceptable time frame within which my complaint should have been brought to the attention of the authorities.
Hence, in the light of the above, I am hereby requesting that my complaint before the Greek Ombudsman on this matter remain open and further assistance be provided in holding the perpetrators into account. I am also once again demanding to be fairly compensated for the damages done to my property (my Banner) and also for the emotional trauma I had suffered as a result of that incident.
Because otherwise this will only embolden those perpetrators in orchestrating even more targeted attacks on me, which I fear will keep happening here again and again with no end in sight as you would see here in this video for example. https://youtu.be/1UlDuE6SMKA
