Day 165th of my 3rd #HungerStrike Outside UNHCR Office — Outcome of my Pleadings to OHCHR-UNOG for Emergency Funding.

While the #Greek State and the #UN #Refugee Agency (UNHCR) continue dragging this case out with no end in sight merely in the hope of eventually starving me to death and covering it up, and in the absence of #solidarity and support from the Civil Society, NGOs and Organizations in this country, my endeavors for acquiring #emergency and life saving #Grants/#Donations from abroad still continues.

This is when I completely ran out of funds and at the moment I have no cash on me even to get myself water. That also includes the two coupons, each worth 10 Euros, which was brought to me by Mr. Younes Mohamaddi, from the Greek Forum for Refugees, last Saturday and I am afraid without any help my life remains in serious jeopardy.

Yet, despite all the obstacles, the struggle for my life, my freedom, my dignity and my honor still continues, even if so far it has not produced a significant result. At this point, what is the most essential for me, is to find resources in order to sustain myself, live another day and continue the fight till my rights are recognized and this #Hostage taking and my complete #deprivation in this country comes to an end.

However, most of my efforts in this regard still remain unilateral. Recently the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture (OHCHR-UNOG) and also the United Nations Voluntary Fund on Contemporary forms of Slavery (OHCHR-UNOG) which both appear to be a subcommittee/subdivision of the Office Of The United Nations High Commissioner For Human Rights (OHCHR) have declined to offer any help even when what is happening here goes way beyond torture and slavery.

The United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture (OHCHR-UNOG) sent a very short reply yesterday and said they are unable to help. This was later reiterated once more in another reply that came from the United Nations Voluntary Fund on Contemporary forms of Slavery (OHCHR-UNOG) in which it speaks on behalf of both departments.

“Unfortunately, neither the UN Torture Fund, nor the UN Slavery Fund accepts individual petitions, and all requests for funding must be submitted by an organization on behalf of an individual. Even in this case, requests for funding destined to fund sole individuals are exceedingly rarely granted.” they wrote in their reply.

Moreover, without taking note of what I had written to them, they also advised me to contact METAdrasi, HIAS Greece, or the Greek Council for Refugees instead and see if they can help.

This had prompted me to write back with a little further explanation in which I also included a long list of 23 other organizations in addition to the three that are mentioned in their email and explained that nobody helps.

Mr. Jack Matthew Pope who was replying on behalf of the United Nations Voluntary Fund on Contemporary forms of Slavery (OHCHR-UNOG) in his second reply indicated that “The issue was that their Fund is not mandated to directly provide support to individuals.”

To which I replied and asked “Can you please coordinate this request with the UNHCR office in Athens, Greece (Cc), where I am now enduring day 164th of my 3rd Hunger Strike and at imminent risk of survival?”

But to this point I have not received an answer to my question. Earlier, he also seemed to have ignored my request for forwarding my pleading to any other organization that he could think of and might lend their support to my cause.

A Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) of my latest reply to them was also sent to the Office of the Amnesty International in Greece, UK, Canada, U.S. and Australia as well as the offices of the Human Rights Watch in all these countries and several other places. Both of which have not yet taken any actions against this ongoing atrocity and the collective cover-up campaigns that is orchestrated here, even though I have been pleading to them for help for many years.

Whether either of the OHCHR subcommittees are eventually going to respond to my latest pleading In a positive manner or not, still remains to be seen, and this is despite the genuine emergency I face now for my survival.

Because in addition to what I have already mentioned herein and throughout my previous posts, I also run out of Multivitamins and Apple Cider Vinegar. Both of which are extremely essential for my protection as my 3rd Hunger Strike still continues.

Nothing like this should happen to anyone, anywhere and no one should be put through a situation like this.

I fear for my life, my safety and well-being.

This is a dire emergency. Please do not be indifferent and ignorant to what is happening here and take action now

Please spread the word, #Sign my online #Petition and consider contributing to my #Fundraising Campaign now.

Refugees are not #Slaves. Our lives matter too.

Yours Respectfully;
