Day 169th of my 3rd #HungerStrike Outside UNHCR Office — Outcome of my Pleadings to for Emergency Funding.

While the #Greek State and the #UN #Refugee Agency (UNHCR) continue dragging this case out with no end in sight merely in the hope of eventually starving me to death and covering it up, and in the absence of #solidarity and support from the Civil Society, NGOs and Organizations in this country, my endeavors for acquiring #emergency and life saving #Grants/#Donations from abroad still continues.

This is when I completely ran out of funds and at the moment I have no cash on me even to get myself water. That also includes the two coupons, each worth 10 Euros, which was brought to me by Mr. Younes Mohamaddi, from the Greek Forum for Refugees, last Saturday and I am afraid without any help my life remains in serious jeopardy.

Yet, despite all the obstacles, the struggle for my life, my freedom, my dignity and my honor still continues, even if so far it has not produced a significant result. At this point, what is the most essential for me, is to find resources in order to sustain myself, live another day and continue the fight till my rights are recognized and this #Hostage taking and my complete #deprivation in this country comes to an end.

However, as most of my efforts in this regard still remain unilateral, recently I have heard back from two other organizations which both declined to offer any help, not at this time, they say! Whatever that means.

Marianne Mollmann who is the Director of Regional Programs at the Fund for Global Human Rights, wrote in her email “Our funds are fully committed for the foreseeable future and we are therefore sadly not in a position to be able to support you at the moment. Should this change, we will be sure to be in touch.” and in the meantime suggested to get in touch with Front Line Defenders and Urgent Action Funds.

I have already shared Front Line Defenders’ response in my earlier posts, but was unable to submit an application to the Urgent Action Funds, which seems to be mostly focused on woman related issues.

Moreover, GiveDirectly, which is another U.S. based organization has also offered absolutely no help. They wrote “Unfortunately, we will not be able to support you at this time, as it is outside the scope of our mission. GiveDirectly’s commitment to our donors is limited to sending small sums to individual households that are chosen using anonymous census data, so we do not have the capacity or mandate to work with other companies and NGOs. That said, we value and appreciate the work that you are doing, because we know that our cash transfer programs are only part of the solution to the difficulties faced by the poor.”

Whether any of the Organizations I have reached out to would respond to my pleading for urgent help in a positive manner or not, still remains to be seen, and this is despite the genuine emergency I am being forced to face with here in Greece as my 3rd Hunger Strike still continues and I am at the imminent risk of survival.

Because in addition to what I have already mentioned herein and throughout my previous posts, I also run out of Multivitamins and Apple Cider Vinegar and currently have no cash on me even to get myself water.

Nothing like this should happen to anyone, anywhere and no one should be put through a situation like this.

I fear for my life, my safety and well-being.

This is a dire emergency. Please do not be indifferent and ignorant to what is happening here and take action now
