Dear the Greek Ombudsman;
At the premises of the Australian Embassy where I went yesterday, Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, to seek Australia’s assistance in resolving my dire situation in Greece, I was immediately surrounded by 10 to 12 Police officers even before I had a chance to speak either with the reception OR a representative from the Australian Embassy.
Clearly the receptionist saw me at the entrance from behind his desk and had immediately informed the Police even without talking to me while I was setting up my banner there. As the first group of Policemen, 4 in Back Uniform with Motorcycles arrived, they took my phones right away. Moments later 2 other Police officers in black uniform arrived with another Motorcycle and almost simultaneously 2 police Patrol Cars each with 2 Police officers joined the rest of the others who were already there. None of them cared about the emergency of my dire situation and having already confiscated my Phones felt free to talk to me in whatever ways pleased them while escorting me to the Syntagma Police Station.
Although after taking my phones they didn’t immediately try to attack me in front of the Australian Embassy, except for twisting one of my ears while attempting to take my phone away, but at the Police Station they broke one of my phones and gained access to the other one and wiped everything from it, including whatever I had managed to record at the premises of the Australian Embassy before they took them away from me. They also assaulted me, at least on 5 occasions and even tried to rape and murder me for my complaints about what they were doing to my phones.
At first, I was assaulted by one officer, then another one, and then five officers at once. For the first two assaults I was still at the door, but for the next ones, I was placed in a room and in handcuffs. They were kicking me, punching me and while three OR four of them pressing and holding me down on a couch with Iron bars, one of them practicing rape gesture on me. After this stage, they still continued mocking and harassing me for demanding to file a report for the damages they had done to both of Phones and also for the Physical assaults and rape attempts.
It was then that I was once again being assaulted by two of the previous officers at once. While one of them was pressing and holding my head down on the sofa, another one placed a pillow on my head and tried to suffocate me. They kept me down with the pillow on my head for more than one OR two minutes while hardly pressing it against my head and blocking all the airways. I could not breathe.
In a sense this was an attempted murder by the Police. Perhaps an approximate replica of what happened to George Floyd in America, with the exception that I didn’t die, at least not this time.
Without any doubt, this has been one of the most traumatic experiences of my life since 2014. All my body, my arms and shoulders are still in pain, and I am still in complete shock while trying to draft and submit this complaint.
There never seems to be justice for us, the refugees in this country. Greece has already taken every shred of my dignity and honor and seems it is now coming after my life. I didn’t flee from the Iranian terrorist Regime and the Kurds in Northern Iraq to end up in such a disgusting place and be robbed of everything and eventually die either of starvation OR at the hands of the Greeks for seeking a way out of this ugly place and trying to save my life.
Nothing like this should happen to anyone, anywhere and no one should be put through a situation like this.
Dear the Greek Ombudsman, in addition to the dozens of other complaints I have already submitted to your organization during years of this Hostage taking and my complete deprivation in Greece, I also submit this complaint to you and hereby urge the Greek Ombudsman to take decisive and tangible actions towards an immediate end to my dire situation in Greece before I am being murdered by your Police forces.
Rather than trying to kill me while I am still looking for Asylum, Greece and its representatives should apologize, compensate and provide me with a safe passage to a country of Asylum (i.e. Canada, U.S. OR Australia) and let me go urgently.
I also urge whoever else received a copy of this email (CC OR BCC) to do whatever they can to help me out in this extremely difficult time and stand up against this ongoing tyranny and oppression.
