At the premises of the Australian Embassy where I went today to seek Australia’s help in resolving my dire situation in Greece, I was surrounded by 10 to 12 Police officers even before I get a chance to speak either with the reception OR a representative from the Australian Embassy.
Clearly the reception saw me at the entrance and had placed a call to the Police even without talking to me. The Police didn’t care about the emergency of my situation, but rather all they cared was to confiscate my Phones and take me to the Police Station.
Although after taking my phone they didn’t try to hurt me in front of the Embassy, except for twisting one of my ears while attempting to take away my phone, but at the Police Station they broke one of my Phone and gained access to the other one and wiped everything from it. They also assaulted me, at least on 5 occasions and even tried to rape me for my complaints about what they were doing to my phones.
At first, I was assaulted by one officer, then another one, and then five officers at once. For first two assaults I was still at the door, but for later, I was placed in a room and was in handcuffs. After doing all that, they continued mocking and harassing me for damaging to file a report for the damages they had done to my Phone and also for the Physical assaults and rape attempts.
This has been one of the most traumatic experiences of my life since 2014. All my body, my arms and shoulders are still in pain, and I am still in complete shock.
There never seems to be justice for us, the refugees in this savage country. They have already taken every shred of my dignity and honor and are now coming after my life.
Nothing like this should happen to anyone, anywhere and no one should be put through a situation like this.
This is a dire emergency. Please do not be indifferent and ignorant to what is happening here and take action now.
