Due to being undocumented and consequently not being able to withdraw funds from my online Fundraising Campaign through which a the small amount of Donations have so far been raised which are mostly Donated by a small group of people who are closely familiar with this cause, I therefore have not yet been able to get myself a new shelter and consistently be present in front of the UNHCR’s office.
But that aside, they also placed a traffic cone, attached to the ground, exactly where my shelter used to be in front of the UNHCR office since March 21st, 2017, till May 2020, which by then they had destroyed my shelters on five occasions. Placing a traffic cone there is specifically targeted at me and its mere purpose is to send a clear signal and to serve as an obvious obstacle for deterring me from placing another shelter there in front of the UNHCR’s office.
This is when the organization has been evading to take responsibility ever since September 2015, and even to date have not yet responded to any of my formal requests, neither for my accommodation nor providing me with other benefits available to the beneficiaries of International Protection such as the monthly allowance. Clearly, they have also not responded to any of my Resettlement inquires.
Shockingly, none of the so-called Humanitarian Organization, including UNHCR itself and Amnesty International to whom I have been reaching out to, for weeks in a row, are even willing to help for opening a Bank account in trust which is essential for my survival in order to be able to access the Donations I have so far received through my online Fundraising Campaign and have left me in a complete state of despair.
It seems they all have colluded with each other on one undisclosed and common agenda of forcing me into taking Hunger Strike after another Hunger Strike and eventually starving me to death and covering it up. As if my life, my health, and well-being worth nothing and viciously call this utterly inhumane treatment, humanitarian. They took every shred of my dignity and honor, yet it seems that wouldn't be satisfactory enough for them till they have taken my life too.
Due to health complications from the last summer’s Hunger Strike (73-days long) I am trying to the best of my ability to avoid another Hunger Strike. But even in spite of that, I am still skipping two meals a day only to survive.
I fear for my life, my safety and well-being.
Those constant threats aside and also because of the current issues surrounding accessing the Donated funds and therefore my current financial restraints and consequently not being able to place another shelter in front of the UNHCR office, I have therefore been sleeping rough in the bushes in the yard of the National Library of Greece Since May.
The National Library of Greece is the only place I have so far been able to locate, where I could use the electricity for charging my electronic devices (i.e. Phone, Compute, Power Bank) anytime I want. Though, due to building closure as a Covid-19 precaution, currently there is only one plug available outside in the yard of the building.
I also use the internet there for uploading my videos. However, by the time I finish editing and publishing the videos of the day, it always gets past midnight, usually around 02:00 am which by then there would be no bus available for getting back to the doorsteps of the UNHCR office.
Consequently, having my sleeping bag with me at all times, I just try to get some rest a bit farther from the building there in the bushed at the yard of the National Library of Greece, so I could live another day and continue this completely unjust and unbalanced fight the next day and this will continue till either a solution is found to my case OR I died trying getting out of this ugly place.
Sleeping in the bushes comes with problems of its own. I have consistent issues with ants, rats and mosquitoes. Although I have been able to sort temporary remedies for the ants and for the rats, but dealing with the mosquitoes outdoors is another problem of its kind, which so far, I haven't been able to get rid of.
Though, having all my dignity and honor, so ruthlessly being taken away, at this point, I am thankful I don’t have to deal with more dangerous species such as snakes, scorpion and etc. while I let my guards down and trying to get some rest there in the bushes in the yard of the National Library of Greece. Though, there is a chance of getting targeted by bad people.
The rain and extensive heat are currently my other problems there. However, for the time being with great difficulties, I am surviving the unbearable, but it is pretty much certain by Autumn when it gets colder, especially at night and when the rain becomes more frequent, I wouldn’t stand a chance to survive.
With everybody bullying me in this country, as if I was their slave, I could only hope that by then I would find a solution to my dire situation. Which would only be my Resettlement in another country (i.e. Canada, U.S. OR Australia).
Otherwise, I suppose it is pretty much clear what awaits me. People are dying every day trying to get to safety through irregular routes such as illegal crossing into other countries and I would be dying for trying to get in through the so-called legal channels in the hands of the same people who misled and trapped me here and brought all the miseries of the world upon my life, yet dare to claim to be helping, defending and standing with Refugees.

If you are concerned and care at all, then please spread the word and show that you are not indifferent to what is happening here. So that the UNHCR can come to its senses and take urgent action for resolving my dire situation by referring my case for Resettlement in another country and also to seek compensation for all the physical, spiritual and material losses so ruthlessly being inflicted upon my life in Greece for the past 7 hellish years.
