Today, Wednesday, July 14th, 2021, I sent yet another email addressed to U.S. Ambassador in Greece, Geoffrey R. Pyatt and had requested a meeting either with the Ambassador himself OR a high-level official from the U.S. Embassy in order to discuss years of my repeated appeals to the United States for granting me Asylum OR for offering assistance for my Resettlement through the office of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

I also arrived at the entrance of the U.S. Embassy in about 12:30 PM. The first thing to do was to inform the reception, mostly security personnel, of my presence there and also of my immediate request for speaking with a representative from the U.S. Embassy regarding the above-mentioned critical matters.

The guard didn’t seem to care at all about what I was saying and kept telling me to stop recording him OR what was happening there and although I told him several times that I was recording myself for my own safety, but still he didn’t seem to care.

It was at that point that I saw a Policeman was heading towards where I was at the reception and having already informed the guard of my requests, I went back to the public area so I could open my banner before the other police arrive.

I was still taking out my banner out of its bag that I was being surrounded by three Policemen. Since I haven’t yet opened my banner, they wouldn’t even let me set it up. I attempted several times, but each time they took it down. ‘’Is the peaceful assembly in the public area illegal?’’ I asked them several times. They pretended that they didn’t understand what I was asking and were replying to me in Greek. They also grabbed one of my hands, twisting it and wouldn’t let go of it till they also forcibly took my phone.

Soon two other Policemen who arrived with a Patrol car joined the three others already there. Since they already had my phone, they used the opportunity to humiliate me as much as they could. One of them, in civilian clothing, constantly name calling me and telling me bad words in Greek.

They also inspected all my belongings right there in the public area in front of the U.S. Embassy, if I was the bad guy there whom everybody should be afraid of. After they were done with inspecting my belongings and myself, they put handcuffs on me and took me to the Ambelokipi Police Station where I was being held in custody for over two hours before I was being let go again.

They didn’t give my phone back until I was being released from Police custody, so I couldn’t record whatever happened after they took my phone in the public area in front of the U.S. Embassy.

I have been undocumented ever since March 19th, 2018, and now without shelter, without food and without money. In fact, I have been without shelter since after the destruction of my fifth shelter at the doorsteps of the UNHCR and also before undergoing my second Hunger Strike (73-days long) there almost the whole summer last years which was carried out on the cracked pavement and in the nasty and sickening dust. I have also been surviving on other people’s Donations ever since.

Yet, despite all these, still none of the so called Humanitarian OR Human Rights organizations have taken a stance against this ongoing tyranny and oppression and from the looks of it, it seems they all collectively planning to force me into taking Hunger Strike after another Hunger Strike and eventually starve me to death and cover it up. As if my life, my health, and well-being worth nothing and viciously call this utterly inhumane treatment humanitarian. They took every shred of my dignity, and it seems that wouldn't satisfy them till they have taken my life too.

Due to health complications from the last summer’s Hunger Strike (73-days long) I am trying to the best of my ability to avoid another Hunger Strike. But even in spite of that, I am still skipping two meals a day only to survive.

I fear for my life, my safety and well-being.

Please spread the word and show that you care and therefore not indifferent to what is happening here. So, the UNHCR can come to its senses and take urgent action for resolving my dire situation here by referring my case for Resettlement in another country and seek compensation for all the physical, spiritual and all the material losses they have so ruthlessly inflicted upon my life.
