On May 19, 2024, 7 year old Logan Sharpe was struck and killed in his hometown of Patterson, Georgia while standing on a sidewalk in his neighborhood by the wreckless driver Dalton Cason who was found to have FENTANYL, COCAINE, BENZOYLECGONINE in his system.  Although there were two witnesses who gave statements to authorities that the child was on the sidewalk, Dalton Cason was not charged with being intoxicated and under the influence of the controlled substances until February 2, 2025 after an outraged community refused to let the horrific death of the first grader be swept under the rug.  Sadly the only charges pending against Dalton Cason is Dui - Alcohol/Controlled Substance Present In Blood Or Urine Subject To O.C.G.A. 40-6-391(B).  Cason is heading to court on June 19, 2025 to face the controlled substance charges and is attempting to discredit the witnesses who were on the scene at the time of Logan’s demise.  The lab could also be discarding the positive drug and alcohol specimen that will provide the proof necessary showing that Dalton Cason should be charged with nothing less than Vehicular Homicide.   At the end of this month the stature-of -limitations will be reached and the evidence of Cason’s positive drug and alcohol tests could be thrown out so WE HAVE TO ACT NOW ⚠️ Please help the Family of Logan Sharpe alongside the Journey Black Foundation and the SOLO Advocacy Group and his community get some form of real justice for this beloved child by writing and calling the district attorney Marilyn Bennett and requesting that she steps up the DUI charge to a felony because the the levels of Fentanyl, Cocaine, & Benzodiazepines that Cason had in his toxicology report, and the Vehicular Homicide and Aggravated Involuntary Manslaughter to Cason’s case as well.💔😢#justice4logansharpe💔
