Please join us JHS Warriors, alumni and concerned citizens in demanding that the racially obtuse mascot of the Jupiter High "Warrior" be REMOVED AND REPLACED with a more appropriate figure that doesn't make a mockery of sacred Native American traditions. 

I care about this issue, not because I’m personally affected by it, but because I care about the wellbeing of others, especially those affected by this country's oppression. Not to mention, us white people blatantly stole this land from the Native Americans. I graduated from JHS in 2011 and I don't recall learning about that in History class. Therefore, JHS chooses to use the Native feathered headband as a mascot to represent strength and honor. But refuses to teach their history, further oppressing the Natives and their culture.

Jupiter High School must do better and be better.
