Susținem din Irlanda Familia Furdui started this petition to JUGENDAMT GERMANY

Familia are 7 copii: David – 15 ani, Naomi – 14 ani, Estera – 13 ani, Natalia – 12 ani, Ruben – 11 ani, Albert – 9 ani și Lea – 1 an.

Through this communique, we request your support in promoting and publicising this authorised, peaceful protest, in solidarity with the Camelia and Petru Furdui family.

This petition initiated and supported by a community in Ireland protesting against the abuses of Jugendamt (child protection institution in Germany) and in solidarity with the family Camelia and Petre Furdui, a family whose 7 children were taken abruptly by the German state. The Furdui family is a Romanian family that has been living in Germany for 9 years. The family consists of 7 biological children: David - 15 years old, Naomi - 14 years old, Esther - 13 years old, Natalia - 12 years old, Ruben - 11 years old, Albert - 9 years old and Lea - 1 year old). Petru is a good craftsman in the field of installations and interior design. Camelia is a housewife, dedicating all of her time to caring for her children and their home.

On April 26, 2021, the German state, through the child protection institution, Jugendamt, confiscated their children and placed them in a child’s institution with the exception of Lea which was placed in a foster home. The girls do not meet with the boys to spend time together, and neither of them is together with little Lea, except for the weekly visit that takes place only with supervision, for 90 minutes. The confiscation of the children was the result of numerous discussions at school between David and the social worker. During the interrogation David mentioned that the children were disciplined at home. Religious education was also discussed and an image of religious fanatics was created for parents who discipline children under the influence of the church and the religious community, and they would not be safe at home and enjoy a free education in the spirit of the times. In all these discussions, no other evaluations were requested from teachers or other people who knew the children.

They did not look for a discussion with the whole family, they did not check if it is a family with problems or not. As a result, without notifying the family in advance, on April 26, 2021, the Jugendamt Niedersachsen went to school and took into custody the 3 older children who were in class, after which they went home to the Furdui family from where they took into custody the four younger children which were at home with their mother. They have been verbally informed and advised by Jugendamt not to appeal, and they were told to wait for further notification by Jugendamt. The parents were told not to do anything but wait until they are notified by the Jugendamt in regards to their children's return. After 3 weeks, the parents were given the right to see all the children once a week, for 90 minutes, only under supervision and with the obligation to speak only German with the children. Little Lea was given another 90-minute separate meeting.

The sequence of events caused the parents to become emotionally and mentally drained. A strong shock to the parents who are responsible, loving their children, parents who provided an environment conducive to the upbringing of the seven children. Until that date, Camelia and Petru Furdui had not received any warning from the authorities to warn them of deficiencies in raising and educating their own children. At this time, the children are unjustifiably kept at a child’s institution and the little girl in a foster home. The children expressed in various ways the desire to come home and be with their parents, but this is not taken into account. Natalia (12 years old) wrote a poem for the German class in which she declares that she suffers and was robbed of everything that was beautiful in her life. Esther (13) said in a letter that she felt deprived of her liberty. Recently, the parents were called by the eldest son, David, who told them that he was not feeling well, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and would like to communicate with his parents more often. Parents are not allowed in any way to take care of the health of David or the other children. Jugendamt did not offer parents any help or advice on what should be improved in the relationship between parents and children. It does not provide any support in the direction of family reunification, on the contrary, it tries in every way to keep the children away from their parents and one another.

Until this hour, some aspects regarding the whole procedure of confiscation of the 7 children are not clear and explicable: the extreme and abusive authority of the Jugendamt; lack of evidence of physical or mental abuse; the precarious care of little Lea in the foster home (she is often bruised on the body); pressure on parents to tell their children not to think about the house, but to get used to the institution; the lack of measures and a plan for family reunification and pressure on parents not to make the situation public. Such methods and attitudes lead us to accuse the Jugendamt, implicitly the German state, of lack of transparency, ill-will and intimidation of the family. Through this protest we bring before the public the abuses that are taking place in Germany, a country considered a model of civilisation. Also, through this protest we are in solidarity with the Camelia and Petru Furdui family, supporting their cause until a favorable solution. We denounce abusive, irrational and inhumane actions towards a normal, Christian family.

Through this communique, we request your support in promoting and publicising this authorised, peaceful protest, in solidarity with the Camelia and Petru Furdui family

This list will be handed over to officials of the German embassy in Ireland. If this step is not taken into account, a large protest will be organised in front of the German Embassy in Ireland.
