As I see the Easter baskets and egg coloring kits, I can't help but think of one toddler who will not be there. Rebecka. Sweet Rebecka who deserved to be nurtured and cherished. And was not. I cannot change that. I dearly wish I could. I would give anything to change her life and especially her death. What I can do is fight to make sure it does not happen again. That is why I am doing this. Rebecka's death could have been preventable with this law. We cannot afford not to pass it. I thank each and everyone of you - 700 so far - who know that childhood should be about coloring eggs and catching frogs not abuse, fear and, worst of all, remains in a bucket.
