We, a group of college students, believe in raising the voting age to 21 since the youngest voters are commonly uninformed, influenced by social media, and not mature enough to understand. The political perspective of the U.S. research, shows the youth may not understand the complexity of how the systems work. Many 18 years old do not keep up with politics, rarely watch the news, and are not well informed with certain active social justice issues. These reasons amongst others show why raising the voting age to 21 needs to happen for the betterment of the United States.
