YOU'LL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH YOUR SUPPORT MEANS TO ME

I WAS JUST TRYING TO BE A GOOD MOTHER AND HAVE MY SON SHARE BOND WITH HIS DAD, AS ANY CHILD SHOULD. 

7 years ago, in June of 2013, I sent my son for the summer with his father Wilfrido J. Pujols. Wilfrido had agreed to return my son in August of 2013, right before school. When August arrived, I got an uneasy feeling as I texted back and forth with my son's dad; He was making excuses of why he couldn't return my son, week after week. He eventually changed his number. I panicked. Shortly after, I heard from him. From a new phone number, he was asking me to contact the child support office, to have them drop the child support money he owed, or he would have to go to the Child Support office and put me on it. I refused and he changed his number again. 

I FILED FOR CUSTODY AND TRIED SO HARD TO GET HIM BACK, BY MYSELF

November 19, 2013 I filed for custody in Hillsborough County, Fl. I petitioned for my son to be returned and the father to continue the agreed upon time sharing and child support. The father was no where to be found and my case was later dismissed. Then, he went to court in 2014 behind my back and I was never aware he was working on reversing the child support, himself. He did it. The child support was dismissed and his arrearage, GONE.  (I didn't know this until just a few weeks ago.) I cried IN MANY POLICE STATIONS and at the Judge's mercy, to no avail because he and I were never married and I didn't have money for a lawyer or a private investigator. I even contacted Judge Mathis and the producer of the show said they wanted to help but my son's father couldn't be found. My son was only 4 1/2 years old, when he was robbed of his mother's love, care and affection. His siblings have cried endless tears over the hole his dad suddenly left in our home. I still have possession of ALL my son's belongings, all his documents... My son's name was so delicate and couldn't be mentioned in our home until recently! 

I GOT A CALL FROM AN ANGEL

After so many years of dead ends and all our mutual friends/acquaintances refused to help or "get involved," my son's aunt called me! She was shocked when she spoke with me after I explained to her that I NEVER ABANDONED MY SON! I WOULD NEVER! I cried and poured my heart out as she explained to me that my son is depressed, physically abused by his dad and has vocalized wishes of wanting his father and stepmother to "BE GONE" so he can live with her, his Aunt! His dad's sister. She told me his father has COMPLETELY ALIENATED my son from me, that he's convinced my son that I abandoned him, that I'm a "drug addict" which I NEVER have been and you can test my hair! That I have 8 kids now, living in poverty when he ONLY has the same siblings as when he was last home.  He's convinced my son that I'm a lesbian junkie that will "make him gay."

He encourages my son to not want his sisters because "they are black." My son's aunt has seen markings and blood on my son from physical punishment from the dad. She tried to arrange me being able to get my son back, as I have every right, but that wasn't successful. She wanted to try that before contacting DCF for fear all the other kids would get taken away too. She was scared.  I contacted DCF immediately but I don't think they did a thorough investigation simply because he explained he was filing for custody, and he did file on 11/16/2020. If they had, they would have discovered the truth from my son, who's been crying out for help for over a year through his cousins, to his aunt. And she FINALLY STEPPED FORWARD, ALBEIT THE FEAR.

I have responded to the case, I have entered a Counter Petition for my son and have provided the court with so much proof that his dad got a lawyer, after having filed "Pro Se." 

Courts hear you better when you have a lawyer.

I NEED YOUR HELP! Legal Aid doesn't have an appointment for another month. I have no attorney, I have no money and I'm desperate. I'm not too proud to beg i'll do anything for my son!!! CAN YOU DONATE TO MY CAUSE? 

SO MANY MOTHERS AND FATHERS ARE DEPRIVED OF THEIR NATURAL RIGHT TO BE A PART OF THEIR CHILD'S GROWTH AND LIFE, BECAUSE THE CUSTODIAL PARENT IS NOT REQUIRED TO SHOW TO COURT IF THEY ARE NOT SERVED. 

THE CURRENT LAWS SHOULD BE CHANGED. UPON A CHILD WELFARE CHECK VERIFICATION THAT THE CHILD IS SAFE AND WITH THEIR LEGAL PARENT, THE CUSTODIAL PARENT SHOULD BE SERVED WITH A NOTICE TO APPEAR, UPON CONTACT. THAT WAY, THESE PARENTS CAN'T HIDE FROM CIVIL PROCESS SERVERS. 

WHAT I'M ASKING FOR 

IN THIS PETITION I ASK THAT

1. MY SON GIOVANNI X. SANTIAGO  WILL FINALLY BE REUNITED WITH ME, HIS MOTHER,

2. THAT THE FATHER BE MADE TO RECEIVE COUNSELING FOR HIS ABUSIVE AND ALIENATING ACTIONS.

3. THAT THE LAWS ARE CHANGED TO WHERE IF THERE IS AN ACCUSATION OF "PARENTAL WITHOLDING OF CHILD" / "PARENTAL KIDNAPPING", THAT THE PARENT ACCUSED OF WITHOLDING CHILD GETS SERVED WITH A NOTICE TO APPEAR TO AN AUTOMATICALLY/ NEWLY CREATED CASE.

I NEED A LAWYER I'M BEGGING- I HAVE NO SHAME I'VE DIED OVER AND OVER AGAIN RELIVING THE DAY I VOLUNTARILY SENT MY SON WITH HIS FATHER. I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET AND WITH YOUR HELP I WILL FIGHT FOR THE LAWS TO BE CHANGED AND FOR MY SON TO RECEIVE MY LOVE, SUPPORT AND PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING AFTER BEING TAKEN AND SEVERELY ALIENATED FROM ME.
