Darius’s Life Matters

On July 30th 2021 Darius Richmond was murdered by Monifah Mitchell. Hours after admitting to Darius's family that she "stabbed” Darius, she was charged with Second Degree Murder then arrested and immediately after was released on a 300,000-dollar bond that was reduced to 250,000 dollars. The judge who applied the reduction is judge Suzzane De Mahy. We are asking that you help us by signing this petition, to demand that judge De Mahy recuse herself from the case. We are also asking that the District Attorney increase the bond for Monifah because we understand that she is a threat to people around her and Darius's surviving family. We are outraged at the fact that the judge who has given this bond in record time, may be connected to this family personally or professionally. All of Darius belongings are still in their possession of Manifa’s family and we have been told by detectives that h er family won’t cooperate to get his belongings off of the property. We believe there are too many improprieties with this judge to have confidence that she will handle this case with a fair hand.
