Help us get justice for Frank the Dog, gunned down on his owner's porch

The Issue

Frank the Dog, 18-months old, was shot four times Oct. 28 on his owner's porch in Campbell, Ohio. The story is not a pretty one.

When Frank's family later put things together, it was discovered a delivery man, who entered Frank's house without permission, put packages inside & left the door ajar. Frank slipped out to have a fun adventure.

His owner, Teah, just returning from babysitting her granddaughter, spotted him playing between houses. She had no idea why he was there since he was always in their fenced-in yard. She drove the few houses down the street to her own house where she went into the kitchen to get a leash for Frank.

As she reached for the leash, she heard gun shots. She heard Frank screaming. Shot. Scream. Shot. Scream.  Four times. She heard thuds against her front door.

Teah ran to the door & discovered that Frank had been shot four times. Four times. He was bleeding profusely. She & her husband, Christopher who had worked the midnight shift & had been sleeping, carried him into the kitchen where he sat on the floor with Frank while he bled a huge pool of blood.

They rushed Frank to the emergency vet who said Frank had lost too much blood and was in too much pain to be saved. Frank was put down. It was the kindest thing to do.

The shooter, Brandon Stores of Campbell, denied he had shot the dog and avoided police until the next day when he was arrested & charged with animal abuse, discharging a weapon within city limits & obstruction of justice. So far. There may be more charges filed. His gun was confiscated.

Stores' version was that Frank had attacked a young girl. He said Frank had jumped on the girl as evidenced by a little mud on the back of the girl's pants. The girl said she had fallen before Frank came along & he hadn't done anything to her. He also said Frank tried to attack him as he was getting into his car. There is no evidence of either incident.

Stores had already called police but he apparently decided they were not quick enough to respond. He FOLLOWED Frank to the house. Frank was going home and was on his own front porch where Stores shot him FOUR TIMES.

A hearing will be at 9 a.m. Feb. 2 before Judge Patrick Cunning in Campbell, Ohio.

We want to see this "man" prosecuted to the maximum. He shouldn't be allowed to walk away with a small fine & a slap on the wrist. He should never be allowed to own a gun again. No plea bargains should be made. His actions were outrageous, unforgiveable and illegal. Please sign the petition to urge that Stores be punished strongly for his terrible deed in killing an innocent dog & endangering children and adults in the area.

Thank you for reading & thank you for caring.
