Compassionate Release for Te’courtney Jones

The Issue

Te’courtney “T-Jones” Jones is facing a 37 month long sentence for a nonviolent offense. At the start of the pandemic, Texas, Michigan, New Jersey and Ohio had the highest reporting prison deaths due to COVID-19 in the nation, at roughly 30 to 40 deaths per month. The other three states quickly reduced the number of inmates dying to about five a month. Jones first few weeks in custody he tested positive for COVID-19.Texas was reporting more than 30 inmates dying per month at the end of the summer while numbers are still at arise. No efforts have been made to address the problem. Signing this we hope to get compassionate release for Te’courtney Jones and bring light to releasing more nonviolent criminals in Texas prison.
