The 4,500 customers of Milcrofton Utility District located in Williamson County, Tennessee, have endured exorbitant rates and unfair billing practices for far too long.

In addition to higher rates, other billing practices and fees exceed other area providers. For example, Milcrofton charges $3,000 for an irrigation submeter. This cost is nearly 2x the cost of an irrigation meter from a neighboring district (source). 

Milcrofton also double-bills customers service fees upon the transfer of service. Instead of either prorating or waiting for a full billing cycle to elapse, Milcrofton bills full fees on partial months for both the seller and buyer, thereby double billing the same service address during that period of time.
