Outer banks is such a popular show with currently no lgbtq+ representation. Not only would the show gain so many more viewers if they had queer characters but so many current viewers are upsetting and do not want to tune into the third season if they don’t show more representation. JJ and pope are the most commonly shipped characters. Specifically JJ, who is a clear blueprint for a traumatized closeted queer character and his chemistry with pope is very apparent. Making these characters an actual couple in the show would be the smartest thing the creators could possibly do. And for a bonus, Sarah and Cleo could be a very clear couple as well as they had amazing immediate chemistry on screen in the seconds season. It’s not very hard and it needs to happen.
