Recall Police Captain Jay Baker re Georgia Massage Parlor Murders

Recall Police Captain Jay Baker re Georgia Massage Parlor Murders
The Issue
News References: ABC Chicago, Huffpost, AJC, Video of statement by Jay Baker
It is unequivocal that a police captain leading the investigation into the murder of 8 people speaking on behalf of the intentions of the murderer precludes the police captain in question from being a fair arbitrator and executor of the investigation. Jay Baker spoke on behalf of the apprehended and proven murderer to effectively exclude racially motivated hate crimes from charges against the perpetrator based on one question of one night of interviewing in spite of the murderer's history of targeting Asian American communities and women. His exact quotes were that the murderer "understood the gravity of it, and he was pretty much fed up and at the end of his rope, and it was a really bad day for him, and this is what he did." As police officers currently carry personal discretion as to whether or not to designate a crime as a hate crime to which would require it to be prosecuted specifically as a hate crime, this police precinct has preemptively terminated efforts to classify this as a hate crime. Leadership in this police precinct is unfit to pursue justice for this affected community and calls into question whether it is fit to pursue justice for any marginalized constituent in Georgia.
