Petition to decolonize the flag of BC with the redesign done by First Nations artist Lou-Ann Neel. The basic shapes and colours are the same, remembering its colonial history, but the design elements have included First Nations line work more accurately representing their heritage and connection to BC. 

BC has a history of mistreating and ignoring First Nations peoples, let’s seriously consider this change as a more inclusive step forward in our province. The colonial Union Jack symbol is on the flag in front of every government building and in every school, let’s incorporate and include those who were first here.
