Laverstock and Ford Parish Council are opposed to the mass development of the airfield, and there is a danger that if a properly considered Conservation management plan is not robust enough, that the future of the airfield is in doubt. It is vital that Wiltshire Council, who has a responsibility for this document, ensure it is fit for purpose. It must not be a plan for development. The area is not a strategic site, and as such the notion that a further 470 houses are needed within the Parish is nonsense. This Parish has house building at Hampton Park 500 Longhedge 673 Old Sarum approx 800 and Duck Lane Laverstock 125. This will increase the Parish numbers to in excess of 4000.
