Hello friends Thank you so much for you ongoing support as we continue to move forward with removing racist symbols from the Arcata Plaza. As you may know the Arcata City Council voted unanimously to remove the plaque referring to the genocide of local Indigenous Peoples as "Indian troubles." The plaque has already been removed. The city council voted 4-1 to remove the statue of William McKinley. In response to this vote, people have started a movement to "save" the statue which has gotten the support from Fox News, Breitbart and Karl Rove.
