If you remember Football growing up in the 70s and 80s, then you remember Joe Theismann; Joseph Robert Theismann (Born September 9, 1949) is a Retired Professional Football Player, and current Sports Commentator, Corporate Speaker, and Restaurateur. Joe Theismann played for Norte Dame and in both the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). Theismann is well known for his time playing 12 seasons with the Washington Redskins (currently The Washington Commanders). During his time with the Washington Redskins; he received one NFL MVP award, two Pro Bowl sections, and help lead the Redskins to two consecutive Super Bowl appearances, winning Super Bowl XVII. In 2003 Joe Theismann was indicated to the College Football Hall of Fame. He was also selected in the Washington Commanders 90 greatest player and the teams Ring of Fame, holding 4 Franchise records that still hold to this day. With all of these accomplishments and accolades it is safe to say that Joe Theismann deserves to be in the conversation for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
