On November 7, 2020, Vice President Joe Biden was elected as the 46th president of the United States. He will be officially inaugurated on January 20, 2021. To celebrate this occasion, I believe Mr. Biden should play the song, “Whoomp! There It Is” by the hip-hop/rap duo Tag Team.

This is in reference to the Parks and Recreation episode “The Master Plan” in which character Ben Wyatt (played by actor Adam Scott) discusses playing said song at his mayoral swearing-in ceremony. VP Biden guest starred on Parks and Recreation in the show’s 5th season. 

While this petition is largely a joke, I believe it would be a humorous shoutout. Parks and Recreation is an immensely popular show and Biden is portrayed in a very positive light. Playing the song would be a cute and lighthearted way to start a presidency.
