Jimmy Buffett traditionally ends his concerts with two encores: a first encore of two songs (which are typically pre-scripted), and a second encore with one song (which at least has the appearance of being variable and impromptu).  

During the 2014 "This One's For You" tour, Mr Buffett has been rather consistently ending his concerts with the song "Lovely Cruise."  While this song fits well with the theme of the show, it is a disappointing way to end the show, particularly for people who attend or listen to live streams of multiple shows.

For the sake of all humanity and for everything that is and has ever been right in the world, we implore Mr. James William Buffett to "see the light" and bring back the variable second encore.

Without a variable second encore, we will not get to hear treasures like "Tin Cup Chalice," "Nautical Wheelers," "Trying to Reason with the Hurricane Season," or "Death of an Unpopular Poet."  What horror, indeed, to think that these gems have been forever replaced with Lovely Cruise.

The creator of this petition is particularly concerned about rectifying this situation before October 25, 2014, when Mr Buffett performs for the second time in Las Vegas, NV.  However, this petition has far-reaching implications that extend far beyond the current tour.

We cannot be complacent in the face of the threat of the perpetual "static" second encore.  We must rise up and communicate our point of view to the man himself.
