As has been announced, the principal of the Penn Kidder Campus, Dave McAndrew Jr, will be moving on to be superintendent of the Panther Valley School District. Also, the assistant principal, Randy Engle, plans to retire in December of 2020. Currently, it appears that the School Board of Directors is not moving to fill the soon to be vacant position of principal promptly.

This being said, there is growing concerns that there will be a major lack of leadership within our elementary schools. They have stated the possibility of leaving Mr. Engle to run the Penn Kidder Campus building until his retirement. They have also stated the possibility of moving Ms Holly Mordant, the principal of the LB Morris to run the PKC building as principal.

In any case, this will leave one of our elementary/ middle schools with lack of sufficient leadership. Currently, each building in the district is being ran by two administrators. Leaving one administrator in each elementary building does not benefit our children or the JTASD staff.

Please help us to show the school board that we do not support the decision not to post for the position immediately. Our children deserve to start the school year with some form of stability after everything they have had to endure thus far.
