I feel the historical aspect of the gardens has been lost and were not considered with the recent redesign. It’s not too late to replant and replace the historical significance that has been lost. First Lady Jackie Kennedy planted the Crabapple Trees and the Roses in the rose Garden. The complete redesign, which has stripped much of the colour from the garden as well as 60-year-old trees, is the first major change since the Kennedy era.

It was a beautiful memorial to past and present First Ladies.

The Rose Garden is (was!) iconic and had great history, dating back through presidents and First Ladies. 

Look, we get it. The White House rose garden needed a makeover but let’s bring back the roses and trees and truly restore it like it deserves.
