Correct high electricity bill amid lockdown
The Issue
I am a middle class person. I have been paying electricity without delay. Amid lock-down I am having tremendous pressure of living and earning. Today I have received my electricity bill of last 3 months and it is quite high. I have complained the authority today and wrote the letter to correct the bill. I have observed that this problem of high increase in amount is currently being faced by lot of people in the city. So I am requesting the concerned authority to take steps and curb this issue as soon as possible. As a working citizen it takes a lot of time and struggle to go the concerned department and explain the issue.
I would like to appeal below things to the Electricity Department of Jharkhand:
- Correct the discrepancies caused while generating the electricity bill.
- Decrease the waiting time taken to curb the issue of consumers.
- Electricity meter function check should be done at regular interval of at least 4-5 months.
- Make site data more secure http://secure.urjamitra.in/urjamitra/onlinepay/ as anyone can see others bill and personal details which should be secured with OTP.
we are law abiding citizen and during the corona times we need to have proper relief from the government.Extra and high electricity bills during these times creates lot of problems for normal citizens.
I appeal all the respected citizen to take part in this initiative of sky high electricity bills in corona times.Please help me in getting justice for those who has suffered.
