John F. Kennedy Memorial High School has been ignorant of the fact that Asians make up at least 40% of the student body. This year, the homecoming ballot does not include a single Asian candidate. There are many well-deserving Asian girls who have worked extremely hard throughout their high school career both in school and in extracurricular activities. With that being said, neglecting this issue proves that JFKMHS does not listen to the voices of their students. This petition is made to gather support from JFKMHS students who believe more Asian candidates should be added to the ballot in order to properly represent the diversity of the student body.
