Riverside Drive is also known as Highway 74 in Lake Elsinore. This road is poorly maintained, it is one lane in both directions and there are no sidewalks or street lights. Since this is a California State Road, the State is responsible in making the necessary road improvements ie: adding lanes, street lights and sidewalks. Also, to put a traffic light at two intersections: Gunnerson Street / Riverside Drive and Grand Avenue / Riverside Drive.

The State has managed this road poorly. I am petitioning for the State to release control of Riverside Drive to the City of Lake Elsinore along with road improvement dollars to the City at the time of transfer. This is a major, high-traffic road used by both local residents and commuters alike. Let's make it safe to travel on.
