By allocating small parcels of land in various unused sections of Jefferson County, Community  gardens give rich and sustainable sources of nutrition  that can better serve communities  that are devoid of fresh produce and vegetables.  It also will provide seasonal volunteer work for youths and seniors who want to aid in stemming the tide of food insecurity.

There are already several dedicated  individuals 

that are on board  with making this dream a reality but we are in need of many more in order to present this agenda to the right people. 

Community  gardens also gives undernourished land the ability to be made more suitable and soluble for growth that can make the aforementioned  food insecurity  issue a non factor. I am willing to invest my time and energy into making the continual growth  of various fruits and vegetables  to better insure the overall improvement  of health of my community  members. 

I am hoping to partner with the Birmingham Water Works and local feed and grain suppliers  to aid in the success and sustainability of the gardens  throughout  Birmingham  and surrounding  areas.  Please help in achieving this mission  by signing the petition that can help keep out families healthy  and strong.
