David Morrier a third order Franciscan Friar has been accused of one count of rape and two counts of sexual battery. He has recently plead guilty to one count of sexual battery and is only receiving a small punishment of probation as well as being registered a sex offender. Does this seem ridiculous to anyone besides me? Morrier should be in prison for his crimes. He took advantage of his position of power. Frankly he should never be allowed to walk the streets and get the chance of hurting another person ever again. This is plain and simple especially now that he has admitted to his crimes. You do the crime you do the time, it shouldn't matter where you are in life or who you who have connections to. It deeply pains me to know that there are people like this who exist. However I will not let him weaken my faith... Evil people will always try to achieve unassuming roles so as to take advantage of whomever they please. But we will not stand for it. Help me put this man where he belongs to get justice for those he has hurt. Through signing this petition you are keeping someone who is undeniably dangerous away from any future victims. People like Morrier don't care about getting caught and will likely be a repeat offender. But we won't give him the chance! This is a terrible situation for everyone involved and I encourage justice through the legal process 100 percent. However we do need to pray for this man's soul and that he has a serious awaking in prison which will lead him back to Christ... Finally, of course the biggest goal goes beyond the simplicity of justice or even prayer. And that is to forgive him. Forgiving an absolutely horrid and undeserving man is a powerful way to bring him to God and although it isn't easy, forgiveness is always worth it whether or not he turns to what is right, because it opens up our own hearts to experience the forgiving Grace of God.
