So I have been debating on whether I wanted to make light of something that has always bothered me in downtown Birmingham. I have been grappling with it even more given the current social climate but I guess why not strike while the iron is hot. It might not even be noticeable to some but at the Jefferson County Courthouse downtown there are Swastikas in the facade of the building. I would love for these to be removed. Whether the original intent was meant to be inflammatory or not, it’s a symbol of hate and murder and needs to be removed. Would love to shed light on this and get the process started. Building a better world for all!!!

Whether the symbol is meant to signify Native American prosperity for most it is perceived as a symbol of hate. If it can be removed and make a difference in people’s lives why not remove them.
