Jeff Wayne's musical version of H.G Welles' The War Of the Worlds has become one of the greatest album/ stage performances in Europe's history. The musical took to new heights when it was performed live on the stage for the first time in 2006! However, despite being immensely popular, the musical has never been been performed live in the United States before. Believe me when I say, that the fans of this musical are not just the ones in Europe. There's a lot of fans overseas too. The musical has already done tours outside of the UK, going to New Zealand and Australia. Jeff Wayne is going on tour again in 2022 in the UK with the musical, but us here in the US want to see too! This petition is designed to show how many people want the musical to come to the US, and how there should be a US tour later this decade, perhaps as early as 2024. The musical can tour in major cities throughout the many cities US, including (but not limited to) Portland, Oregon, L.A, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, Atlanta, and the crowning jewel of broadway, NYC (possibly at Radio City Music Hall). We ask that the musical be kept the same as in the UK, keeping Liam Neeson's 3D narration, the live action/animation screen in the background, the band, and of course a life-sized fighting machine to be on the stage! Given that the US tour could cost a lot, I would suggest to Jeff Wayne to start a Kickstarter page to raise money for the tour. This in my eyes is an AWESOME idea, and it could easily become a reality! So please sign, and Jeff, if you like this idea, thank you!
